The position estimation device is configured to: weight each of a plurality of pieces of information related to a state of the vehicle and weigh information related to a surrounding environment of the vehicle; and select whether to use a plurality of feature point groups including a part of a plurality of feature points detected by the front sensor and the peripheral sensor for the position estimation for each feature point group based on a result of the weighting. As a result, the position of the own vehicle can be estimated more accurately according to the traveling state and the traveling environment of the own vehicle.",
