Provided is an additive for a non-aqueous electrolyte solution that can suppress the initial gas generation amount when used in a non-aqueous electrolyte solution battery. The additive for a non-aqueous electrolyte solution is represented by any one of formulae [1] to [4] :wherein X1 and X2 are each, for example, a fluorine atom, a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched alkoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; Y is a carbon atom or a sulfur atom; R1 to R4 are each, for example, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, where the organic group may contain a fluorine atom, an oxygen atom, or an unsaturated bond; and R1 and R2 or R1 and R4 may form a cyclic structure].
