The method also includes, responsive to determining that a vehicle speed satisfies a threshold associated with the recommended speed and an offset value set according to a driving environment, adapting an alert color projected by headlights of the vehicle according to the vehicle speed and the alert color is corrected for operator perception of visible colors associated with the driving environment.",
