The present disclosure relates to a vehicle braking system which is capable of normally releasing brakes under various conditions and a control method thereof, and discloses a vehicle braking system including a braking device and a brake release assisting unit, wherein the brake release assisting unit maintains a braking force at a constant level by applying auxiliary hydraulic pressure to the braking device when braking of the braking device is released, and a control method thereof.
