The modification comprises fading in or blending an overlay area (2, 4, 5) in the image area (1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) of the image to be displayed, wherein the overlay area (2, 4, 5) is located in or directly adjacent to the image area (1), and wherein the image area (1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) further comprises a measurement area (3, 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d).
