METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE CHANGE IN AN OUTPUT VARIABLE

The present invention relates to a method (3) for determining an effective variable progression of a physical effective variable of a first effective mechanism (10-14) of a motor effective chain (1) of an internal combustion engine. The method (3) comprises obtaining (30) an input variable progression of a physical input variable of the first effective mechanism (10-14) or of a second effective mechanism preceding it in the motor effective chain (1) of the internal combustion engine, determining (31) variables characteristic of each input variable sub-progression of the input variable progression on the basis of the input variable progression, determining (32) in each case an effective variable sub-progression for each variable characteristic of one of the input variable sub-progressions with the aid of a determination rule, and determining (33) the effective variable progression of the first effective mechanism on the basis of the determined effective variable sub-progressions.
