RAILROAD CAR BREAK SYSTEM
DRIVE
September 7, 2016
A vehicle brake apparatus includes a first pressure control device that transforms a first compressed air inside a first tank provided in a vehicle body on a bogie of a vehicle into a brake control air having a predetermined pressure and supplies the brake control air to a brake cylinder which applies braking force to a wheel provided on the bogie. The vehicle brake apparatus includes: a second tank that is installed on the bogie and is independent from the first tank; and a second pressure control device that supplies a second compressed air inside the second tank to the brake cylinder as an emergency brake air prior to the brake control air being supplied from the first pressure control device to the brake cylinder when an emergency brake operation is performed.
