A transmission element of a primary part or a transmission unit for a system for contactless energy transmission comprises a housing (1) with a base surface (B) defined by at least some support points, a top surface (6) opposite to the base surface (B), and side surfaces (7) connecting these two surfaces (B, 6). The housing (1) contains at least one primary coil (2) and electronics (3) for their supply and/or control of the or each primary coil (2). At least the electronics (3) is accommodated in a compartment (4) of the housing (1), which has at least one side surface (4a/4b) with at least one row of cooling fins (8), which extend from the top surface (6) essentially down to at least the height of the bottom (U) of the compartment (4).
