Battery assembly

A battery arrangement is provided which has a plurality of electrochemically interconnected battery cells, wherein each of the battery cells comprises a plurality of electrochemical individual cells. Each of the battery cells is thermally isolated from the other battery cells of the plurality of battery cells. Each of the electrochemical individual cells has a monitoring device. The monitoring device is configured to electrically disconnect the battery cell from the other battery cells when at least one measured value to be monitored by the monitoring device lies outside a predetermined value range.
