It is herein described a cargo automotive vehicle comprising a tailgate (3), which comprises two panels (3D, 3E), each one tilting in relation to an vertical axis defined by one or more hinges (9) which connect, in an articulated manner, one vehicle body (1) side part (4) to said panel (3D, 3E). Each one of said panel (3d 3E) has an extender (13) articulated with respect to said panel (3D, 3E) by at least one hinge (14), with horizontal articulation axis, said panels (3D, 3E), when tilted or downward swung, defining an extended cargo area essentially coplanar with the load area (2) floor (5) of the cargo vehicle (1).
