A polymer blend for a tire

The present invention relates to polymer blend, consisting of (a) 60-96 percent by weight of a high molecular weight elastomeric polymer, (b) 4-35 percent by weight of a low molecular weight aromatic hydrocarbon polymer, and optionally (c) 0-13 percent by weight of an extender oil, wherein the amounts of the components (a), (b) and (c) are based on the total weight of the polymer blend.
