CUSTOM SEAL

The present invention relates to a customs seal (1) for utility vehicles with tarpaulins. According to the invention, the known customs seal (1) is improved such that unauthorized opening of the rotary drive (2) in the area between the tension ratchet (5) and the tarpaulin roll tube (7) is made so difficult that in the event of unauthorized manipulation, destruction of the rotary drive (2) is detectable in any case. For this purpose, an adapter (6) is provided between the tension ratchet (5) and the tarpaulin roll tube (7), on which an axially fixed yet freely rotatable ring element (13) or ring groove element (15) is seated and which cannot be removed from it without destruction.
