METHOD FOR OPERATING A USER INTERFACE IN A VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for operating a user interface (2) in a vehicle (9), wherein at least one function can be operated via the user interface (2) by means of an operating gesture. In the method according to the invention, a gesture executed by means of an operating element (12) is detected in a detection area (6, 18) which is assigned to the user interface (2). Furthermore, a confidence measure (K e ) is determined, which indicates the certainty that the gesture corresponds to the operating gesture. If it is determined that the determined confidence measure (K e ) is below a specified confidence value (K o ), the gesture is not recognized as the operating gesture. A system feedback is generated, wherein the system feedback comprises an indication (11) of correct execution of the operating gesture. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a device (1) for operating a user interface (2) in a vehicle (9).
