RELIEF VALVE FOR A HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP AND HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP

The invention relates to an overflow valve for a high-pressure pump in a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing (1) and a valve body (2) accommodated at least partially in the housing (1), wherein the valve body (2) has a central bore (3) in which a valve piston (6) is guided so as to be axially displaceable in order to connect an inlet opening (4) formed in the housing (1) with an outlet opening (5) formed in the valve body (2), and wherein the valve piston (6) is acted upon in the direction of the inlet opening (4) by the spring force of a valve spring (7). According to the invention, the inlet opening (4) and the outlet opening (5) are respectively formed at the end face in the housing (1) and in the valve body (2). Furthermore, the invention relates to a high-pressure pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine with such an overflow valve.
