The multifunction bracket (5) comprises a base element (35) which has a base passage hole (40) and on a rear end face (45) a rear base recess (50). There is furthermore a ceiling element (55) which is spaced apart from the base element (35) and extends essentially parallel thereto, which has a ceiling element passage hole (60) and on a rear end face (65) a rear ceiling element recess (70). Furthermore, a first side wall element (75) and a second side wall element (80), which is arranged spaced apart from the first side wall element (75), are present. The side wall elements are rigidly connected to one another by the base element (35) and the ceiling element (55). The ceiling element passage hole (60) is designed to receive a spreader bar (200, 230), and at least one of the passage holes (40, 60) is designed to enable the hanging of an engagement element such as a hook (90) or a shackle.
