METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A REAR LIGHT OF A VEHICLE AND REAR LIGHT

The present invention relates to a method for controlling optical modules (11, 12, 21, 22) of a rear light (1) with the following steps: - activating one or more optical modules (11, 12) to generate a first signaling function, - if reverse gear is engaged on the vehicle, activating according to a first operating mode one or more other optical modules (21, 22; 121) to generate a second signaling function, - if reverse gear is not engaged on the vehicle, activating the or at least one of said other optical modules to generate a complementary light beam distinct from the light beam that it emits in the first operating mode and coming to supplement the first signaling function. The invention also relates to a rear light, in particular for implementing this method.
