This motor vehicle (1) comprises a powertrain (8), at least two axles (2,5), a device (9) for mechanical transmission of engine torque to a first axle, a device (10) for hydraulic transmission of engine torque to another axle associated with a control unit (11), means for measuring operating parameters of the motor vehicle and a coupling/uncoupling mechanism (12) associated with the hydraulic transmission device. The control unit (11) of the hydraulic transmission device is capable of acting on the powertrain to modify engine torque as a function of the comparison of the motor vehicle's operating parameters with reference values.
