The invention relates to a light device for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (4) in which at least light emission means and optical deflection means capable of deflecting the light rays emitted towards an exit face of the device are disposed, said device further comprising a main opening (18) formed in the housing for the extraction of the light emission means out of the housing along a first axis. Fixing means (12) are provided for fixing the light emission means in the device and the housing comprises an additional access (24), distinct from the main opening, for access to these fixing means. The invention further relates to a method of replacing the light emission means of a light device of a motor vehicle.
