ROTARY-WING DRONE WITH AN ACCESSORY RENDERING IT AMPHIBIOUS
DRIVE
June 29, 2016
The drone (10) comprises a body (12) and a plurality of propeller units each equipped with a propeller (18) driven by an individual motor, the different motors being controllable in a differentiated manner to pilot the drone in attitude and speed and with production of an upward force. The accessory comprises a shaft (20) removably secured on the body of the drone in a transverse orientation (X) with respect to the main direction of progression of the drone, and at a point (22) located at the level of the center of gravity of the drone and above this center of gravity. The accessory comprises two toroidal elements (26) mounted freely to rotate independently of one another at the ends of the shaft (20) and symmetrically with respect to the body of the drone (12). The density with respect to water of these toroidal elements (26) is less than one and their diameter is greater than the overall dimensions of the drone.
