An imaging module has, in addition to a lens holding member (10), an imaging element (25), and a substrate (30) on which the imaging element (25) is mounted, a shielding member (40) that is for preventing extraneous light from entering the imaging surface of the imaging element (25) and on which a ring-shaped or notched ring-shaped protrusion (51) for shielding is provided. The shielding member (40) is held between the lens holding member (10) and the substrate (30) without the protrusion (51) for shielding coming into contact with another member.",
