The invention relates to a Sensor device for monitoring a component of interest, including at least one sensor (22a, 22b) for measuring at least one parameter indicative of condition of said component of interest, signal processing means (16) for processing the signals of the sensor (22a, 22b), and a mounting means for mounting the sensor device close to the component of interest. It is proposed that the mounting means (20) is made of a zinc alloy.
