A vehicle pneumatic tire with a tread having profile positives (1) in which at least one spike (2) is anchored with its spike body (3), wherein the spike is assigned at least one discharge channel (7, 8) formed as a depression in the profile positive for receiving ice splinters produced when the spike scratches on ice. On the sides of the spike body situated opposite one another in the circumferential direction and beginning immediately at the spike body, a discharge channel (7, 8) is provided in each case, which ends within the respective profile positive, wherein each discharge channel has a main section (9, 10) extending over the majority of its longitudinal extent, in which the width and the depth (t1, t2) of the discharge channel increase with increasing distance from the spike body, and adjoining this has an end section (11, 12) in which the depth (t3) and the width of the discharge channel decrease with increasing distance from the spike body.
