  "textContent": "A vision system (13) for a vehicle with trailer (10), in particular for a commercial vehicle with trailer, for displaying a recording area (A, B, C, D) located outside the commercial vehicle (10) comprises a recording unit (14) attached to the vehicle (10) with at least one recording device for capturing an image of the recording area (A, B, C, D), wherein the recording area comprises at least two partial recording areas (A, B, C, D), a display unit (15) for the vehicle interior with a display area (16) with predetermined dimensions, and a calculation unit (17) which processes the image captured by the recording unit (14) and supplies it for display to the display unit (15). The calculation unit (17) is adapted to scale the image of the recording area (A, B, C) captured by the recording unit (14) at least in one image angle direction with a scaling factor (n), and the display unit (15) is adapted to display the scaled image in the display area (16), wherein the scaled image comprises at least two partial images (20, 22, 24, 26) which respectively correspond to the at least two partial recording areas (A, B, C, D), and one of the partial images (20) is undistorted and one of the partial images (22, 24, 26) is compressed. The scaling factor (n) is determined as a function of an image angle (ϕ) of the captured image of the recording area (A, B, C) in accordance with a mapping function (f(ϕ)), and the mapping function (f(ϕ)) is adapted according to a driving situation such that during the driving situation of a turning maneuver or a curve driving of the vehicle with trailer, the image area in which a rear edge (HK) of the trailer is visible lies in the partial image (20) that is undistorted.",
