The invention relates to a housing element of a motor casing for a windshield wiper, in particular for a motor vehicle, said housing element comprising a barrel (7) configured to be traversed along a longitudinal axis (X) by a rotary shaft of said motor casing, said housing element further comprising a ring (107), mounted coaxially inside a free end (101) of said barrel (7) and configured to be traversed by said shaft, characterized in that the barrel (7) comprises or carries first means (106a-b-c) for axial stopping of said ring (107) toward the outside of said barrel (7). It also relates to a method for producing said element by plastic deformation of material. It also relates to a motor casing for a windshield wiper comprising such a housing element.
