The invention relates to a load carrier coupling (10) for coupling a rear load carrier to a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger car, wherein the load carrier coupling comprises a vehicle coupling element (20) provided for attachment to the motor vehicle or arranged on the motor vehicle and a load carrier coupling element (40) arranged on the load carrier or provided for attachment to the load carrier, wherein the coupling elements (20, 40) comprise a plug part (41) and a plug receptacle (20) which can be plugged together along a plug axis (S), wherein the load carrier coupling comprises a form-locking body arrangement (50) with at least one movable form-locking body (54) drivable by an actuation arrangement (60) for engagement in a form-locking receptacle (56), wherein the form-locking body arrangement (50) assumes a locking position (V) upon engagement of the at least one form-locking body (54) in the form-locking receptacle (56) and blocks removal of the coupling elements (20, 40) from one another with respect to the plug axis (S) and otherwise assumes a release position (L) and permits removal of the coupling elements (20, 40) from one another. It is provided that the at least one form-locking body (54) forms a component of a hook body (51) pivotably arranged about a pivot axis (D1) on one coupling element (40), which in the locking position (V) engages in a hook receptacle (55) on the other coupling element for hooking along the plug axis (S) and supports itself with at least one support surface on at least one reaction surface (89) of this other coupling element transversely to the plug axis (S).
