ENHANCED BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM WITH WHEEL MOUNTED POSITION SENSOR

What is described is a tire pressure sensor (200) for use in a wheel (132, 134) of aircraft landing gear (110, 120, 130). The tire pressure sensor (200) includes a position sensor (208; 318) configured to detect a movement of the wheel (132, 134) and generate a wheel movement signal based on the movement. The tire pressure sensor (200) also includes a processor (310) coupled to the position sensor (208; 318). The processor (310) is configured to receive the wheel movement signal, determine a wheel rotational speed of the wheel (132, 134) based on the wheel movement signal and generate a wheel rotational speed signal based on the wheel rotational speed.
