  "textContent": "The invention relates to a method for assisting a driver of a vehicle combination, in particular a commercial vehicle combination, wherein the vehicle combination (3) comprises a towing vehicle (1) and at least one trailer/semi-trailer (29) coupled to the towing vehicle (1), and wherein the towing vehicle (1) comprises a field-of-view display device (21, 41, 43) by means of which at least one side field-of-view (17, 19) lying laterally next to the vehicle combination (3), viewed in the vehicle transverse direction (y), on one side (9, 11) and lying behind the driver, viewed in the vehicle longitudinal direction (x), can be displayed to the driver of the vehicle combination (3). According to the invention, an image acquisition device (25, 27), in particular a camera, is provided by means of which during cornering of the vehicle combination (3) in the direction of a side (9, 11) opposite to the side field-of-view (17, 19), a cornering field-of-view (31, 33) lying behind the towing vehicle (1), limited laterally by the side field-of-view (17, 19) and the trailer/semi-trailer (29), is at least partially acquired.
