The invention concerns a cantilever (2) for supporting a catenary to supply energy to a vehicle, the cantilever (2) comprising a cross-member (6) adapted to be attached to a support structure (4), the cross-member (6) extending along a longitudinal axis (X-X), and at least one attachment (14) connected to the cross-member (6), the cantilever (2) being characterized in that the cross-member (6) includes an outer surface, the outer surface comprising at least a first side (50) having a non-circular shape in a section plane (II-II) that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis (X-X), in that the attachment (14) comprises at least one collar (37) encircling the cross-member (6), and in that the collar (37) comprises at least one contact face (51) in contact with said at least first side (50).
