"textContent": "The invention relates to a method for producing wheel rims from fiber composite materials, in particular for use in motor vehicle engineering, in which a preform of the component is formed by depositing a fiber material on a molding tool that reproduces the component contour, and the preform is subsequently consolidated. The object of the invention, which consists in further developing a method for producing wheel rims such that the wheel rim can be produced by machinery with the required design variability in size, shape, and material use, is achieved in that the preform (6) of the wheel rim is formed by machine braiding, in which the molding tool (5) serves as a braiding core (2) and is braided with braiding threads (3) in such a manner that a fiber braid (12) is created, which bears against the molding tool (5) in a form-fitting manner.",
