Compressor system

A compressor system for a vehicle (1) with a drive unit (2) comprises: a variable air compressor (4); a control unit (8); an auxiliary device (10); and a controllable clutch (11). The variable air compressor (4) includes a compressor shaft (41) to be driven by the drive unit (2) and is configured to compress a variable volume of air within a time period. The control unit (8) is configured to control the variable air compressor (4) to change the variable volume of air. The controllable clutch (11) is configured to control-lable decouple the compressor shaft (41) from the auxiliary device (10).
