ROOF RACK ASSEMBLY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A roof rack assembly for a motor vehicle with a carrier profile (3) which, in the mounted state, extends across a vehicle roof (1) in the vehicle transverse direction, and with two support feet (4) which secure the carrier profile (3) in the mounted state on a respective vehicle-fixed roof rail profile (2), wherein each support foot (4) has a support body (5) on which the carrier profile (3) is supported, as well as an inner clamping jaw (7) which is movable relative to the support body. The inner clamping jaw (7) is mounted so as to be linearly movable parallel to a longitudinal extension of the carrier profile (3), each support foot (4) has an outer clamping plate (8) with an undergrip, which is displaceable in the vertical direction relative to the support body (5), and there is provided a mechanical actuating unit (11, 19, 20) which is in operative connection with both the inner clamping jaw (7) and the outer clamping plate (8) in order to displace the clamping plate (8) and the clamping jaw (7) between a release position and a clamping position.
