The present invention concerns a land vehicle (10) comprising a front part (12), said front part comprising a protection device (15), said protection device comprising: - a bumper (17) disposed at the front of the vehicle (10); - a shock or presence detection device (18), capable of detecting an obstacle (16) in front of the vehicle (10), characterized in that the bumper (17) comprises a flap (20) located at the front in the lower part of the front part (12) of the vehicle (10), said flap (20) being able to move from a closed position to an open position towards the bottom of the vehicle in the event of detection by the device (18) of a shock or a presence in front of the vehicle, so as to prevent passage of the obstacle (16) under the front part (12) of the vehicle (10).
