A pneumatic tire, having short fibers fixedly attached to at least a portion of an inner surface thereof, wherein: provided that the average cross sectional area of a cross section, not in contact with the inner surface of the tire, of one short fiber is "A" (mm 2 /the number of short fibers) and the number of the short fibers fixedly attached in a unit area (1 mm 2 ), of a region where the short fibers have been fixedly attached, in the inner surface of the tire is "N" (the number of short fibers/mm 2 ), a value of A x N is in the range of 0.02 to 0.06.
