VALVE DEVICE FOR EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION IN A COMBUSTION ENGINE

DRIVE January 13, 2016
Source
Valve devices for exhaust gas recirculation in an internal combustion engine are known, comprising a drive unit (18) consisting of an electric motor (20) with a drive shaft (22), an eccentric (28) and a transmission (33), and a valve unit (10) consisting of an actuating element (60) and a valve body (62), wherein the valve unit is movable by means of the drive unit (18). In order to reduce the required installation space and the necessary individual parts, it is proposed that the transmission be an eccentric transmission (33), in which an eccentrically driven planet gear (38) engages partially with a fixed ring gear (36).
