The wheel carrier (1) has a shell body (28) made of sheet metal with a base (29) and a side wall (30). The shell body (28) is partially closed by a cover sheet (33), whereby the shell body (28) is braced. At least one control arm connection (7) has a bearing receptacle fixed in the side wall (30) of the shell body (28), in which a bearing (10) is accommodated. The control arm (3) attached to this control arm connection (7) surrounds the bearing receptacle (34).
