A vehicle, in particular an agricultural vehicle, has a driver's cab (1), a communication interface (5) for contactless reception of identity information, and a control unit (8) for checking the identity information and starting one or more subsystems of the vehicle upon positive result of the check. The driver's cab (1) is accessible via a ladder (4). The communication interface (5) is arranged adjacent to the ladder (4) in order to receive the identity information from a transponder (6) when the latter is located in a detection range of the communication interface (5) at the foot of the ladder (4).
