FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR A MOTORCYCLE
DRIVE
December 9, 2015
The present invention relates in particular to a front wheel assembly for driving a front wheel of a motorcycle (M) with all-wheel drive, comprising - a hub (N) to be driven, on which the front wheel is arranged, - a rotatable drive shaft (AW) with a drive element (AK), which is designed and provided for coupling with a power transmission element driven by an engine of the motorcycle (M) in order to transmit a torque to the drive shaft (AW), - a shaft joint (1) for transmitting a torque from the drive shaft (AW) to the hub (N). According to the invention, the shaft joint (1) is arranged centrally on the hub (N) and is designed as a constant-velocity shaft joint that connects the drive shaft (AW) and the hub (N) to one another in a torque-transmitting manner and in such an articulated fashion that an angular position of the rotating hub (N) relative to the rotating drive shaft (AW) driving the hub (N) can be changed via a steering linkage (LS) of the motorcycle (M).
