Weight-independent safety brake
DRIVE
December 2, 2015
The vehicle (1) has a braking device (2, 2', 3, 4, 4') which comprises a brake (2) that acts either directly on a running wheel (10) or on a brake disc (2') by, for example, opening and closing brake pads (not shown). Furthermore, the braking device has a brake control device (3) which is designed as a closed-loop regulation. A (negative) actual acceleration (=braking deceleration) a measured by an acceleration sensor (4) is used as an input variable. The (negative) actual acceleration (=braking deceleration) a is compared with a predefined target acceleration and is regulated by appropriate actuation of the brake (2) such that the actual acceleration adapts to the target acceleration over the control period.
