The natural gas engine (10) is equipped with an exhaust gas introduction mechanism that introduces exhaust gas (G) into a cylinder during an intake stroke. As a result, natural gas fuel is ignited in a reliable and stable manner and highly efficient combustion is performed using a small amount of fuel and a small amount of intake air even during a low load operation condition, stoichiometric combustion, or rich combustion in an engine that is provided with a natural gas fuel injection device that injects diesel fuel serving as an ignition source into a combustion chamber and injects natural gas fuel into an intake system passage.",
