The braking system (10) comprises: - a device (12) for managing the grip of the car wheels and the rails including: ¢ means (14) for detecting slip, ¢ means (18) for determining brake force correction instructions, - a traction control device (22), comprising: ¢ means (24) for varying a braking force of the wheels, as a function of the brake force correction instructions, characterized in that the braking system (10) comprises a digital link (28) suitable for transmitting the brake force correction instructions in the form of digital information.
