The present invention relates to an injector with a nozzle and needle, wherein the nozzle comprises a recess in which the needle is slidably supported, wherein at least one flow channel is provided between the nozzle and needle, wherein the flow channel is bounded by at least two boundary walls, and wherein both boundary walls are non-planar. The invention further relates to an internal combustion engine with a corresponding injector.
