A circuit mounting assembly includes a housing (22) and a protrusion (56) extending from the housing (22). At least one retaining member (64, 66) is attached to the protrusion (56) and adapted to deform when received in an opening (70) of a mounting structure (36) and form an interference fit with the mounting structure (36) so as to hold the housing (22) to the mounting structure (36). At least one attachment member (40, 42) provides a secure attachment of the housing (22) to the mounting structure (36). Electrical circuitry is located within the housing (22) for performing a function, and an electrical connector (78, 80) for providing an electrical connection between the electrical circuitry located within the housing (22) and an external device.
