Brake setting system and method

A system may include a vehicle system (100 or 300) including at least one vehicle, wherein the at least one vehicle includes at least one handbrake (107). The system (100 or 300) may also include a handbrake setting determination unit (214) configured to determine a handbrake setting control input indicating whether the at least one handbrake (107) is to be set in order to park the vehicle system (100 or 300) at a particular location without moving. A handbrake setting suggestion may be based on the handbrake setting control input.
