Brake module (1) for a hydraulically braked traction vehicle (34; 35), which can be coupled with a pneumatically braked trailer vehicle (22), wherein the brake module (1) has an electro-pneumatic pressure control module (3) with electronic control (4), which implements control pulses for electromagnetic control valves (28, 29), wherein the brake module (1) has a redundancy valve arrangement (5), which is connected via a hydraulic control input (H41) to a hydraulic pressure line (H1; H2) running from the main brake cylinder (7) and via a pneumatic input (P1) with the compressed air reservoir (15), wherein in the event of a failure of at least one electrical or electronic component relevant to the operation of the brake module (1), the pneumatic outlet (P2) of the redundancy valve arrangement (5) is connected with the control pressure coupling head (23), and wherein the electro-pneumatic pressure control module (3) and the redundancy valve arrangement (5) are pneumatically connected in parallel with one another, and the pneumatic outlet (P2) of the redundancy valve arrangement (5) can be connected exclusively with the control pressure coupling head (23).
