Trailer for a route train with a frame that has a lifting device with a lifting platform (30) on which the inner carriage to be transported rests in a raised state, wherein the lifting device comprises a pull/push rod and at least one triangular lever which is pivotably mounted with a first end to the frame, a second end to the lifting platform and a third end to the pull/push rod, whereby the lifting platform (30) is adjustable in height via the at least one triangular lever, in which the lifting platform executes an arc-shaped pivoting movement and in a lowering movement lowers itself to such an extent that the inner carriage is released from the lifting platform and is pushed a predetermined distance out of the frame transversely to the lowering direction.
