A vehicle and user interfaces for controlling an air conditioning system of a means of transportation are provided, which comprise a touch-sensitive display device (1), a data processing unit and in particular proximity sensor technology. The data processing unit is configured to display an interface on the display device (1) for controlling the air conditioning system by a user, which contains a stylized representation of body regions (I, II, III) of a user and a symbol (6) for an air outlet of the air conditioning system. A user input recognized via the proximity sensor technology leads to an output of an indication of the possibility of a touch-based input between the symbol for the air outlet and the stylized representation of body regions. By means of the touch-based input, the user selects the strength of an air stream for an associated body region.
