"textContent": "The invention relates to a motor vehicle axle (1) and two longitudinal control arms (3) arranged in the vehicle longitudinal direction, comprising a connection (3a) to the body as well as a connection (3b) to the vehicle wheel, a bending-stiff and torsionally-soft transverse member (2) which connects the two longitudinal control arms (3) to one another in the vehicle transverse direction. The transverse member (2) consists of a single-walled metal profile (5) which has in cross-section a bottom web (7) and two side webs (8a, 8b). The end sections (6) are configured by reinforcement plates (4). The reinforcement plates (4) are connected along their edge (9) continuously to the metal profile (5) and/or a longitudinal control arm (3). The reinforcement plates (4) are furthermore coupled in a transverse member-side end region (10) with a point-form connection (11) to the bottom web (7) of the metal profile (5). In an advantageous manner, through reinforcement plates (4) installed in such a manner, the properties of a motor vehicle axle (1) according to the invention are greatly improved during operation, since stresses occurring in the end region (10) of the transverse member (2) do not remain locally limited, but are rather distributed better over the entire area.",
