The invention relates to a method for wireless power transmission between a transmitter and a receiver, comprising a power phase and a measurement phase, wherein the receiver measures received power during the measurement phase and transmits information about the measured power to the transmitter, wherein the transmitter compares the power transmitted by it with the power measured by the receiver and determines a power loss from this, wherein the power phase is omitted if the power loss exceeds a maximum permissible limit value, wherein the transmitter transmits power during the measurement phase which is lower than the power transmitted during the power phase.
