Functionalized elastomer and rubber composition with such an elastomer

A functionalized elastomer comprising the reaction product of a living anionic elastomeric polymer and a polymerization terminator of formula I is disclosed. The functionalized elastomer may be part of a rubber composition for use in the tire.
