A combined coupling and differential assembly

A combined coupling and differential assembly 100 is disclosed having a differential 120 and a dis-connectible coupling 130 housed in a common housing 105, 110. The differential 120 has a first side gear 124 driveably connected to a first output shaft 101 via the dis-connectible coupling 130 and a second side gear 125 driveably connected continuously to a second output shaft 102. When the common housing 105, 110 is rotated, drive is transmitted to both of the output shafts 101, 102 if the dis-connectible coupling 130 is closed but no drive is transmitted to either output shaft 101, 102 if the dis-connectible coupling 130 is open.
